Daniel Moss

B-Still (aka Daniel Moss) is a conscious rapper and spiritual spoken word poet. Though his hip-hop career began on a political note following 9/11, his experiences practicing and teaching yoga and meditation have taught him that “We need an evolution, not a revolution-And for everybody to be part of the solution”, and is out to inspire us all to become our best selves, serve those around us, and have a great time in the process.
Walking a similar path of his parents, both of whom were meditation teachers, musicians and educators, he has led youth empowerment and leadership training programs in five countries. One class he designed teaches “Emotional Empowerment through Hip-Hop”, helping youth learn to feel and express their emotions in healthy and creative ways.
In addition to rap and spoken word, he has studied guitar, singing and music production and been in bands ranging from and combining hip-hop, jazz, funk, reggae, gospel and kirtan.
He has performed for 10,000+ as a US Musical Ambassador to a 3-Day World Peace Conference in Bangalore, India, played for thousands at spiritual retreats and “Yoga Raves” around the US and been a guest performer at the Bonnaroo and Arise Music Festivals.
His raps are deeply spiritual, encouraging people look within and remember our inherent nature of love, peace and joy. He also raps to inspire a “One World Family”, promoting nonviolence, and celebrate the beauty in all of life.
Sometimes his words are tongue twisters you might expect from a modern hip-hop mystic:
“My beats bang prana. I play gongs in Ghana. Rock rhymes on top the Rockies in my pajamas. Ride the Andes on a llama while I'm rapping ancient mantras. Plant seeds of knowledge, givin’ thanks to Panchamama!”
Other times, his lyrics are blessings and prayers:
“May my voice be a channel of the infinite love, so my words fly out like a liberated dove. May I speak in such a way hearts open, spirits fly, egos melt, tears never dry, and heaven finds a friend, pen pal to angels. We’re rained on with grace, and God, I’m so grateful”
B-Still is working on both conscious rap and spoken word albums.
